Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

MLD is a specialised form of therapy devised to stimulate the functioning and drainage of the lymphatic system, thus improving the body’s overall immune system & ability to repair.

It is a very gentle, non-invasive & relaxing form of massage, which encourages the lymphatic system to naturally detoxify itself, promoting the removal of excess fluid, waste products & dead cells from the tissues.

manual lymphatic drainage

(MLD)

What is MLD?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialised form of massage, which has been developed and proven to promote the functioning and drainage of the lymphatic system, the body's own detoxification process.

I am trained in the Dr Vodder method of MLD, which involves very gentle, repetitive and soothing movement of the skin, to stimulate the lymphatic vessels.

This encourages the lymphatic system to naturally detoxify the body, rebalance fluids, promote the removal and elimination of waste products and dead cells.

reflexology lymphatic drainage

(RLD)

What is RLD?

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) is similar to Reflexology, in that treatments are performed to the feet (or the hands); however, focus is specifically placed on the reflexes of the lymphatic system. By doing this, the lymphatics are stimulated causing a positive effect on their function.

This award-winning technique was developed by Sally Kay and has been proven to be beneficial with several symptoms and conditions, (incl, pain and oedema reduction)

I was fortunate enough to complete my RLD training with Sally and am an approved practitioner.

classic reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary therapy which has been used for hundreds of years and was even performed by the ancient Egyptians as a method of touch to bring about healing.

Reflexology has been further developed and transformed over the years into a form of therapy which can aid in stress relief, reducing tension, promoting relaxation and may help to relieve symptoms such as pain, poor sleep etc...

A treatment can be used as a stand alone form of therapy or combined with both MLD or RLD depending on each persons specific needs and requirements
